Tai Tam Flat Renovation

 At B Squared Design, we know the unique challenges and needs of a family with multiple active children. A perfect example of this understanding can be found in this Tai Tam apartment, which we tailored specifically for a family with four energetic boys. Our expert team of designers carefully crafted the interior design to optimize space, functionality, and durability, while still maintaining a stylish and inviting atmosphere. From durable materials to ample storage solutions, the finished design resulted in a comfortable and practical space that could withstand all the demands of a lively household.

The layout of the apartment was meticulously planned to maximize both communal and private areas: The common spaces, such as the living room and dining area, were designed to foster family togetherness, allowing for quality bonding time. What was traditionally used as the master bedroom became the boys’ bedroom, with two custom designed bunkbeds and plenty of space to study, read, and lounge. Another room was transformed into a “gamers’ zone” for the boys and their friends to chill out and play, while the master bedroom was transformed into a sanctuary space just for the parents.

In terms of durability we carefully selected furniture and materials that are able to withstand the wear and tear of active children. From stain-resistant fabrics to sturdy and easy-to-clean surfaces, our design ensures that the apartment remains fresh and practical for years to come.

Storage is a key consideration in any family home, and the interior design addresses this need with innovative solutions: We incorporated ample storage options throughout the apartment, including built-in cabinets, hidden compartments with charging ports for phones and electronics, and multi-purpose furniture like the dining room storage bench. This allows for efficient organization and helps keep the spaces clutter-free, promoting a calm and organized atmosphere.

Finally, we also paid special attention to the aesthetic aspect of this apartment design. By carefully selecting colors, textures, and decorative elements, we created a design that is timeless and reflects the unique personality and aesthetic style of the family. A visually appealing AND practical living space for all!
