Sai Kung Home Interior Design
B Squared Design was tasked by this busy family of 5 to create a home that was “carefully thought out but not overdone, stylish but comfortable.” They also wanted to make sure that it had “an adult vibe but still be kid-friendly.” The client specifically asked the interior design team to “push us outside of our comfort zone of always using neutral colors and beiges.” So to kick things off we chose bold colors to go on the walls (using paint in the dining room and wallpaper in the living room, master bedroom, boys’ room, and baby’s room). All of our other interior room decisions were based on these colorful choices. We also designed and built several custom pieces of furniture: the large wall unit at the front entry, the modular sofa in the living room, the desk in the home office, and the storage bunkbed in the boys’ bedroom. The client trusted us with all the unique design decisions, and in the end everything came together to create the atmosphere and feel they were hoping to achieve!
